COMMUNITY LIFE & PRAYER | May 7 Week

On Tuesday night, anyone is welcome to join the broader Spring Garden community in an evening of prayer at the church at 7:30 pm.

We continue to affirm this weekly posting as a place where we can 'gather' together throughout the week to journey with one another, pray for one another and listen to one another's stories. Nick spoke to us about his journey with respect to the story in John 21 and the reality of the cost of following Jesus. Pray through the reality of following Jesus - what will this cost you? What will it look like? How does TILT as a community whole follow Jesus? How are we to respond to his words to feed his sheep - ALL his sheep, not just the ones we agree with, like or the ones that believe what we believe?

Post your comments throughout the week!

I wanted to say thanks to Nick for sharing with us last night and for trusting us with your story ... I'm glad you've found your way back to our community.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to ask you to pray for a colleague of mine whose husband is awaiting a double lung transplant. His condition has worsened this week to the point that, even if lungs become available, they won't be able to do the surgery because his other organs are too weak. Please pray for healing and strength ... and for his wife and kids. Thanks!

Hi all,
Just wondering if you could pray that I would be able to get a hold of people that I have previously met with regarding supporting my ministry. I have been calling back people for decisions and haven't been able to connect with them. Thanks.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your prayers for my colleague. I just got an update from her ... her husband has stabilized and the doctors will now consider a transplant if lungs become available. Praise God! Now, she requests prayer for lungs ... a tough one to pray for 'cause their good news would mean bad news for another family ... trust that God will work it out ...

Lesley - thanks for your posting and update too. We will continue to pray for your colleague's husband. I also echo thanking Nick for his story.

Kate and I will be married in two days! Prayer for a sense of calm, peace and joy would be much appreciated. Everything has come together without much trouble and we anticipate that trend continuing! Kate's uncle was unfortunately injured on his farm and has a punctured lung and internal bleeding. Pray for a quick healing would be appreciated. He is hoping to come to the wedding...

Thanks for the update on the situation Les. Will for sure continue praying for that, and for Kate's uncle, Scott and Kate's wedding, and Becki's connecting with people!
Please also keep praying for Jay and Michelle as the baby is due any minute (if it hasn't already come)!
Regarding myself, PRAISE THE LORD I finished my major paper (ended up being 46 pages!)! So thanksgiving for that.
Please pray for Mon in this upcoming wedding weekend as she wants to be involved in everything but needs to guard herself as well, particularly regarding the baby, diabetes and her eyes. So for wisdom, balance and protection for both of us!
THanks.

Congrats to Jay and Michelle too who welcomed their new babe- they'll pass on info. I am sure.

Prayer for Greg and I would be greatly appreciated as apparently we have one week until we'll be three! Lots to do...

OH - PRAISE too - our AIA National training Camp went really well! God is good and so faithful.
See you soon - If I have the energy -tonight!

Hi again,

Just got back from Tilt and got a great update on my colleague's husband ... lungs became available and he went in for surgery this morning. Please continue praying for his recovery and for his family. Thanks!
