Our Stories | Jan D'Angelo
If you missed Jan's last update, make sure you read it here. Here's the latest:
As we begin a New Year I wanted to be in touch with you and let you know some of the exciting things that are happening at LAUNCH. As I took some time to reflect at the end of December, I was amazed and thankful to the Lord for all He has done in developing LAUNCH coaching in 2007 … and me, too!! I continue to be challenged and stretched with each new assignment but I have a healthier confidence these days as I contribute to the LAUNCH team. I am grateful for that, as it has been a HUGE area of growth for me.
We have just matched two of our coaches from the first workshop with two new LAUNCHee (young leader) applicants. It is such a joy to see the process that we have worked so hard to put in place over the past year, finally come full circle! There has been lots of refining and learning along the way … and there will be much more to come … but the system IS working and it is a thrill for us to be able to match coaches with LAUNCHees and see their partnerships spark with enthusiasm and momentum. You can learn more about our current LAUNCHees and their projects by visiting our website (Go to www.321launch.ca and click on “LAUNCHees” and then on “Current Stories.”).
DreamLAUNCH™, the computer software that Carl Nash the Director of LAUNCH has developed, has been well received and is being used by many young people across the country to discover “who” God has created them to be and “how” to put a project or dream in place. The 360° Leadership Assessment tool is also benefiting many young leaders as they identify goals for growth in both character and leadership development.
Your prayers DO make a difference and I want you to know that I appreciate them VERY much! Please join me in offering back to the Lord some prayers of praise for what He has been doing through LAUNCH over this past year:
Praise the Lord for …
• … the unity in vision, focus and purpose that our LAUNCH team has
• … the young people who have applied to LAUNCH in 2007 and for those who will be stepping out in making their dream a reality, in 2008
• … the mature Christian coaches He has brought to us and for their experience and expertise, which are exactly what the LAUNCHees are needing
• … the learning of 2007 and the opportunities before us to take LAUNCH onto the next level of development in the year ahead, as we fulfill our mission statement
• ... each one of YOU who have been such an encouragement in your interest, support and prayers
May 2008 be a year filled with new opportunities and development for you, too, as you seek to know and serve the Lord more fully.
Your sister-in-Christ,
Jan

COMMUNITY LIFE & PRAYER | January 6/13/20 Week
Last Sunday night, Barb led us to pray in groups of three (or so). Continue to pray for the people in your 'huddle'. This week Jen-Mai led us in prayer of thanksgiving. Go through your week in God's grace with a sense of gratefulness! Also continue to pray for Sarah P and her family as they mourn the loss of Sarah's dad.
As always, use the prayer map here. I'd love to update it or add people to it, so do that by emailing tilt.toronto (AT) gmail.com.
As always, please add your own prayer/prayer requests/stories here. Then we can pray for one another!
You can quickly see the latest prayers added by looking at the "RECENT PRAYER COMMENTS" section on the sidebar.

There were also more shooting deaths this weekend. One of the youth who was killed was involved with Youth Unlimited. These leaves the worker devastated and distraught. Pray for him, the community and the youth in our city.

COMMUNITY LIFE & PRAYER | November 4 Week
Jeremy led us through the Lord's Prayer on Sunday night. Here's the Voice's translation of it:
Our Father in heaven,
let Your name remain holy.
Bring about Your kingdom.
Manifest Your will here on earth,
as it is manifest in heaven.
Give us each day that day's bread, no more, no less,
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive those who owe use something.
Lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
But let Your kingdom be,
and let it be powerful
and glorious forever.
Amen.
What does this lead you to pray for? Leave your thoughts/prayers/comments here. What does it look like when we pray the Lord's Prayer for one another? Use the new prayer points map!
