In the Psalms this morning (Thursday), David keep repeating this phrase:
"Why am I discouraged?
Why is my heart so sad?
I will put my hope in God!
I will praise him again—
my Savior and my God!"
What I find interesting is that nothing is changing in David's life. He is simply recognizing that in the midst of discouragement, persecution and loneliness, God has not changed! And so he worships God as Saviour despite circumstances which are quite opposite to "being saved". It is a choice!
