Community Prayer | Week of February 11

As always, please add your prayer requests/life updates/etc. here by clicking on "Comments" at the bottom of this post and add your comment (it is easiest to select "Other" identity and type in your name).

This past Sunday we talked about being called to creation. Although Gene was sick, we broke into small groups to discuss and prayer this whole topic which is at the forefront of all media coverage these days. Admittedly, my small group had a fairly heated discussion about the whole topic of stewardship of creation and its value in the economy of God. Does it really matter? Isn't it just about saving souls? Although I have a {strong} opinion about this, I think it is a valuable thing for us to all pray through. What is God's heart? What does He care about? Should we care about it too? How are we caring about it or not? Pray for the Spirit's guidance!!

Trev & Gwyneth posted a comment on the Called to Ministry video, and, well, let's pray for them! If you don't know them, they were a vital part of our community for a couple of years but have returned home to New Zealand. Gwyneth is pregnant, we can always pray for the health of mom and baby. And also adjusting back to life in Kiwi-land.

Pray for TILT - what do we exist for? What does God desire of this community? Who are we being called to reach out to? TILT is not about us, it's about God and His design for it.

Okay, this list could go on, but I have a sermon outline due tomorrow!! Have a great week and may you hear God's call to you throughout the week.

Hey TILTers,

It would be great if you could keep us in your prayers. We're slowly adjusting to life back in NZ, but we miss you guys heaps... especially after perusing this awesome website all afternoon!! (Hanging out for when Scott provides a live feed of the TILT service!!)

We have some praises and some requests to mention. Trev has secured a job at NIWA (an atmospheric research place) which is great news. The job is in Wellington, the capital, so we are now looking for some suitable accommodation. At the moment we are staying with Gwyneth's brother. Mum and baby are both doing well.

We don't have a church that we can call home yet (except for Spring of course). Last night we went to a service that was the antithesis of TILT. Lots of very loud music, very little prayer, two and a half sermons and a large congregation all of the same age group - oh well.

Also thought we could mention that your prayers at our last TILT service for safe travel must have been heard. We had a bit of a rough time with Delhi-belly on our way through India and a few times when we were scared and alone God gave us reminders that we could trust in Him to look after us.

Great to hear from you Trev and Gwyneth! We'll definely keep you in our prayers, thanks for the update.

On a different line, praise for the retreat! Your prayers for safety, peace and confidence were answered. Now I (and the baby) are on recovery mode.

You will be in our prayers Trev & Gwyneth! I confess I'm pretty pumped to see this website being able to keep us connected across great bodies of water.

Mon, glad to hear the retreat was great.

Pray for Barb - she's heading to Scotland. Search for Barb on the main blog for more info.
