This morning we are reading Psalm 5 and I was struck by verse 7: "Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house; I will worship at your Temple with deepest awe." It is not by our works that we enter the presence of God, or are in relationship by Him. Only by his grace, the outpouring of His love may we have any relationship with God. Amen! Our only response can be one of awe, that God would desire a relationship with us.

The words from Lauds on Sunday morning in Psalm 84:
What joy for those whose strength comes from the Lord, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. 6 When they walk through the Valley of Weeping,
it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings.
The Israelites had such a sense of suffering and its ability to be used by God. Here, the Valley of Weeping itself will become a place of refreshment. Our society hates trials in life, but it is the source of life in so many senses.
